How To Get an Extra Year of Windows 10 Security Updates
Windows 10 has gone the way of the flip phone and the yellow pages… but that doesn’t mean you have to leave your device unprotected! Microsoft is offering consumers an extra year of critical security patches through their Extended Security Updates (ESU) program.
ESU enrollment provides security updates for eligible Windows 10 devices through October 13, 2026. It doesn’t include non-security fixes, feature updates or technical support. Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update to enroll your PC.
The cost is $30, which is way cheaper than removing a virus from your computer! But if you use Windows Backup to sync your PC settings, you can protect your data AND enroll in Extended Security Updates for free. Double win!
