Are you thinking of using our Self-Restore repair or parts replacement service? That’s great! It’s a quick and inexpensive way to save money on your repair. To insure that your product reaches our repair center safe and sound, please review the packaging suggestions below.
Ultimately, you are responsible for the item you are shipping, so we suggest that you purchase shipping insurance for the full replacement value of the item you are shipping to us. We’ll cover the return shipping costs and insurance. Take a look at the suggestions below, and feel free to give us a call at 866-96Restore if you need further help.
-
Use a NEW box if possible. We like to recycle as well, but it’s important that your box be as strong as possible. If you don’t have a box, we suggest you use our Full-Restore service which includes a new RestoreBox sent overnight to your location that is specifically designed for your product. Shipping boxes are also available at office supply stores.
-
We suggest you use foam or bubble-wrap to protect your item when shipping to us. You can purchase packing foam and bubble-wrap at most office supply stores or at any UPS Store or FedEx Kinkos shipping center. If you’re one of those smart folks that kept your factory packaging, this works great as well.
-
Print out the Self-Restore shipping label after you enter your information there. Cut the form in half and affix the bottom part (with our address on it) to the outside of your box. Place the rest of the completed form inside your box. Note: We cannot process your repair unless we have the completed Self-Restore form inside of the box. Without the form, your repair will be delayed.
- If the Self-Restore process seems a bit daunting, please checkout our Full-Restore service for PowerBooks & iBooks and our iPod Full-Restore program. Thanks!
