New policy from Apple on water damaged iPhones.
ifoapplestore.com is reporting that Apple will now replace a water damaged iPhone at any Apple store for $199. You'll receive either a new or refurbished replacement and you won't have to extend your current ATT contract to get the new phone. We think this is good news, since in our experience, most water damaged units have multiple part failures that make a repair not economically feasible. We're glad to replace your broken screen overnight for $99, repair your audio jack or dock connector port along with multiple other
specific iPhone repairs - but when it comes to water damage, we will now send you back to the Apple store.
