Greetings!
There have been times in my life where I felt I was leaving the ground. Moments that impacted me in dramatic ways, marked me and molded me into who I am today. Simple things, really - a smile from one of my kids, a shared thought with my wife that scared us, it was so psychic. Complex things as well - sitting up all night in the hospital room, Renee asleep, chatting with my Mom while we waited for Skylar to make her entrance. Watching Ethan leap for a soccer ball, stop a goal and lose a tooth at the same time (should I be happy, proud, concerned? All three). Sad things can begin moving me off the ground as well - seeing the outpouring of emotion from friends and family at my Dad's wake, losing Roman, the BDDOE (Best Damn Dog on Earth) - powerful things, even in the sadness they represent.
In business, there are times when I get to feel like I am defying gravity as well. Seeing my first company sign go up on a commercial building (945 sq ft!), hiring my first employee (Colleen), first time I had a customer tell me they loved my company, defying the odds and knowing you have had a positive impact on hundreds of employees, building our first website and watching the visitors trickle in, our first MacWorld Expo exhibit, on and on.
